“Sophie is an amazing massage therapist! After struggling with inflammation in my armpits and throughout my lymphatic system for over a year, I was so grateful to meet Sophie and enjoy experiencing her lymphatic drainage massages. She provides skillful massages that show her deep understanding of the lymphatic system, really listened to my situation and made me feel heard, gave me tips to work on at home in between treatments, and to top it all off she is such a lovely person.
I look forward to each treatment and I always leave feeling so much better and lighter, with less puffiness and more energy. If you're looking for an effective and therapeutic lymphatic drainage massage with a caring practitioner, I highly recommend Sophie.”
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No! No part of this treatment should hurt. Some areas may feel tender, if the lymph nodes are working hard or extra congested. Sometimes people feel soreness in their bellies for a number of reasons (constipation, inflammation, menstruation, etc). I'll do an assessment of your abdomen before we begin working the area, and will check in with you often so I can modify my pressure if you feel any discomfort. Lymphatic drainage, when done properly, should never be painful.

You’ll feel very relaxed! Ideally lighter and reset, too. You may feel extra tired and thirsty in the evening following your treatment - this is normal as your body integrates. I will give you some at-home tips to help with this following treatment.

Of course.
a) is breast massage included in every treatment?
Only if you choose it. Breast massage is offered as an optional part of your treatment and is always performed with full consent, clear boundaries, and clinical professionalism. I'll talk you through exactly why and how that part of the massage happens, so you can be totally informed when making the decision.
b) Why include breast massage in a lymphatic treatment?
The breast and chest area are rich in lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels. Incorporating breast massage can support lymphatic circulation, hormonal balance, fluid drainage, and upper-body decongestion. It’s especially beneficial for clients experiencing breast tenderness, post-surgical swelling, hormonal imbalances, or history of breastfeeding, cysts, or (resolved) infection.
c) Is it awkward or intimate?
Not at all. This is a therapeutic, professional technique that I have extensive, certified training in. It’s approached with respect, sensitivity, and anatomical precision. You’re always welcome to ask questions, adjust the treatment, or opt out entirely at any point.

Do your best to avoid eating for 2 hours before your appointment. Please be prepared to remove any jewelry and high waisted underwear. Hydrate well in the 2 days leading up to our session, and make sure your intake forms are accurate and complete (otherwise this will cut into treatment time). If any questions come up for you before you come in, you can always reach me at hello@goodhabitldn.com.

I may use silicone or glass cups on areas that I determine could benefit from a different modality to shift fluid and stagnation or improve tissue health (eg. cellulite, dense tissue, lipedema, scars). Otherwise, my hands are the only tool that will make contact with your body. This is because I get better contour and drainage this way, and I know how the tissue is responding (stretch, heat, rebound). I don't get this information if my hands are on tools instead of your body.

Congrats! But no, sorry. Please wait 4 months from c-section and 3 months from vaginal delivery to book. If you’re 6-8 weeks from c-section and cleared for treatment by your GP, feel free to book a scar treatment. If you’re cleared to sleep on your stomach, book a rest + digest or a relaxation treatment.

This depends on your diet and lifestyle, but if we achieve visible results from the treatment, they generally last about 5 days. If you have an event coming up and want to eliminate some bloat for a specific date, please consider the Event Prep treatment.
Please note visible results are not guaranteed - while this is typically the effect of this treatment, some folks don’t notice changes - others find it takes a day or so. The main goal of this treatment is always systemic health.
