STAGE + STUDIO VOICE CARE

The mic drop before the mic drop.

Designed to release tension in the jaw, face, tongue, throat, and upper chest - the key structures that shape your voice. Combining advanced fascial, muscular, and lymphatic drainage techniques with gentle intraoral care. Targeted mobilizations of the trachea (windpipe) and larynx (voicebox) can also be added, along with diaphragmatic release and breath awareness.

This session helps release the muscles of speech and song, restore ease of breath, and improve resonance. Ideal for singers, actors, teachers, public speakers, exercise instructors, broadcasters, or anyone who wants to keep their voice healthy, supple, and performing at its best.

Each session is tailored to your needs, whether that’s preparing for a show, supporting long speaking days, or maintaining your voice between performances.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We focus on the muscles, fascia, and structures that support healthy voice production. Techniques can include fascial release, relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, and intraoral/buccal massage to better target your facial muscles. If it's helpful, we will also work on tongue tension and posture (which means I'll handle your tongue with gloves and gauze), and work into the floor and palate of your mouth, as well as the muscles that move your jaw. We may work on your throat region, with slow, gentle manipulations of your windpipe and voice box area (externally).

The goal is to connect with your issue and is based in shared decision making - meaning you're in control of where we go and how long we stay there, so we can make sure we're being productive and non-invasive.

  • No, it shouldn't. You may get brief aggravation of your symptoms while we work together to identify and connect with your issue, but the goal is to relieve pain and improve function, within the treatment and after.

If you've never had someone work inside your mouth or on your throat before, it will likely feel a bit strange at first as your nervous system gets used to it. You’ll always be able to stop or change the treatment at any time.

  • You should avoid this treatment if you -

Are currently undergoing active treatment for cancer without medical clearance (especially head and neck cancer)

Have had recent surgery to the jaw, throat, or neck and have not been cleared to resume manual therapy

Are recovering from recent voice surgery or vocal cord injections and are still in the surgeon’s advised rest period

Have an active infection of the mouth, throat, or respiratory system

Have open wounds, ulcers, or unhealed scars in the treatment area

Are experiencing acute inflammation, swelling, or severe pain in the head, neck, or chest

    Have uncontrolled bleeding disorders

Have had recent dental surgery and are not yet fully healed
